Our Publishing Model
At Datamine Publishing and Consulting Centre, we are committed to delivering a transparent, efficient, and ethically sound publishing process that upholds the highest standards of scholarly communication. Our publishing model is designed to ensure that every manuscript receives a fair, rigorous, and timely evaluation while maintaining the integrity, quality, and credibility of the scientific record.
We operate an online manuscript management system that enables authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial staff to manage the publication process efficiently from submission through publication. Every manuscript follows a structured editorial workflow to ensure consistency, transparency, and accountability.
The publication journey consists of the following stages.
Stage 1: Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts electronically through the Datamine Publishing and Consulting Centre online submission system. During submission, authors are required to provide all necessary information, including manuscript details, author affiliations, declarations of originality, conflict of interest disclosures, funding information (where applicable), ethical approval statements (where required), and any supplementary files supporting the manuscript.
Before final submission, authors are encouraged to verify that their manuscripts comply with the journal's submission guidelines and formatting requirements.
Stage 2: Initial Editorial Screening
Following submission, the Editorial Office conducts an initial screening to determine whether the manuscript satisfies the journal's basic submission requirements.
During this stage, the manuscript is assessed for:
- -completeness of the submission;
- -compliance with the journal's scope;
- -adherence to manuscript preparation guidelines;
- -originality and scholarly relevance;
- -ethical compliance;
- -language quality sufficient for peer review; and
- -completeness of required declarations and supporting documentation.
Manuscripts that do not satisfy these minimum requirements may be returned to the corresponding author for correction before entering peer review or may be declined if they fall outside the journal's scope or fail to meet basic editorial standards.
Stage 3: Similarity Assessment
All manuscripts undergo a similarity assessment using appropriate plagiarism detection software before peer review. This assessment helps identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, excessive text overlap, or other concerns related to research integrity.
Similarity reports are evaluated by the handling editor. A high similarity score does not automatically indicate misconduct, as legitimate overlap may occur in references, methodological descriptions, or appropriately cited quotations. Editorial decisions are based on the nature, extent, and context of any identified similarities.
Where concerns arise, authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts, provide clarification, or, where necessary, the manuscript may be rejected in accordance with our Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy.
Stage 4: Editorial Assessment
After successfully completing the initial screening and similarity assessment, the manuscript is assigned to the appropriate Editor or Associate Editor with expertise in the relevant subject area.
The assigned editor evaluates the manuscript's:
- -originality;
- -scientific or scholarly contribution;
- -methodological soundness;
- -clarity of presentation;
- -relevance to the journal's readership; and
- -suitability for external peer review.
Only manuscripts considered to have sufficient scholarly merit proceed to external peer review.
Stage 5: Double-Blind Peer Review
Datamine Publishing and Consulting Centre employs a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
Each manuscript is ordinarily evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with recognised expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers assess manuscripts based on established criteria, including originality, significance, methodological quality, ethical compliance, interpretation of findings, organisation, clarity, and overall contribution to knowledge.
Reviewers provide detailed comments intended to assist both the editors in making informed decisions and the authors in strengthening their manuscripts.
Stage 6: Editorial Decision
After considering the reviewers' reports, the handling editor makes a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief, who reaches one of the following editorial decisions:
- -Accept without revisions.
- -Accept subject to minor revisions.
- -Invite major revisions and resubmission.
- -Reject the manuscript.
Where reviewer recommendations differ substantially, additional reviewers may be invited before a final editorial decision is reached.
Editorial decisions are communicated promptly to the corresponding author together with anonymised reviewer comments.
Stage 7: Author Revision
Where revisions are requested, authors are expected to submit:
- -a revised manuscript with all requested changes incorporated; and
- -a detailed response letter explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed or, where appropriate, providing a reasoned justification for any recommendations not adopted.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or assessed directly by the editor, depending on the extent of the revisions required.
Stage 8: Final Acceptance
Once the manuscript satisfies all scientific, editorial, and ethical requirements, the Editor-in-Chief issues a formal acceptance decision.
Acceptance signifies that the manuscript has successfully completed peer review and is ready to proceed to production.
Stage 9: Copyediting and Production
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to improve clarity, consistency, grammar, formatting, references, and adherence to the journal's editorial style while preserving the authors' intended meaning.
Following copyediting, manuscripts are typeset into the journal's publication format.
Stage 10: Author Proof Review
The corresponding author receives page proofs for final review before publication.
Authors are expected to carefully examine the proofs for typographical errors, formatting issues, or minor corrections. At this stage, substantial changes to the scientific content are generally not permitted unless approved by the Editor-in-Chief.
Prompt return of corrected proofs helps ensure timely publication.
Stage 11: DOI Assignment and Online Publication
Upon completion of production, each article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to provide a permanent, persistent, and citable link to the published work.
The final version of the article is then published online as an open access publication, making it immediately available to readers worldwide without subscription or access restrictions.
Published articles include complete citation information, metadata, DOI registration, licensing information, and publication dates.
Stage 12: Indexing, Archiving, and Long-Term Preservation
Following publication, articles are prepared for inclusion in applicable abstracting, indexing, and archiving services in accordance with the eligibility requirements of each service.
Datamine Publishing and Consulting Centre is committed to preserving the scholarly record through reliable digital preservation strategies that ensure the long-term accessibility, discoverability, and integrity of published research.
