This guide provides comprehensive information to assist authors in preparing manuscripts that meet the standards expected by journals published by Datamine Publishing and Consulting Centre.

1. Before You Start Writing

Preparing a manuscript begins long before the first sentence is written. Authors should ensure that the research has been properly designed, ethically conducted, accurately analysed, and appropriately documented before preparing a manuscript for publication.

Before writing your manuscript, please ensure that the following requirements have been satisfied.

Choose the Appropriate Journal

Select the journal whose aims, scope, and readership best match your research. Submitting a manuscript to an unsuitable journal often results in unnecessary delays or rejection before peer review.

Authors should carefully review each journal's:

  • -Aims and Scope
  • -Subject Coverage
  • -Accepted Article Types
  • -Target Audience
  • -Publication Frequency
  • -Editorial Policies

Choose the Appropriate Article Type

Determine the article category that best represents your work.

Common article types include:

  • -Original Research Article
  • -Review Article
  • -Systematic Review
  • -Meta-analysis
  • -Short Communication
  • -Case Report
  • -Technical Note
  • -Editorial
  • -Commentary
  • -Letter to the Editor
  • -Book Review
  • -Policy Paper

Each article type has specific structural and formatting requirements.

Confirm Originality

Before preparing your manuscript, confirm that:

  • -the work is original;
  • -it has not been published previously;
  • -it is not under consideration elsewhere;
  • -all authors approve the submission;
  • -appropriate permissions have been obtained where necessary; and
  • -all sources have been properly acknowledged.

Research Ethics

Where applicable, research involving human participants, animals, identifiable personal information, or sensitive materials must have received approval from an appropriate Research Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board before commencement of the study.

Authors should retain documentation supporting ethical approval.

Determine Authorship

All authors should agree on:

  • -authorship eligibility;
  • -author order;
  • -corresponding author;
  • -individual contributions;
  • -funding acknowledgements; and
  • -conflict of interest disclosures before submission.

Authorship should comply with the publisher's Authorship and Contributorship Policy.

Register for an ORCID iD

Authors are strongly encouraged to obtain an ORCID iD before submission.

ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes researchers and improves attribution, discoverability, and integration with scholarly publishing systems.

The corresponding author should encourage all co-authors to register for ORCID identifiers.

Prepare Supporting Documents

Before beginning manuscript preparation, authors should assemble all supporting documentation that may be required during submission, including:

  • -ethical approval letters (where applicable);
  • -participant consent documentation (where applicable);
  • -funding information;
  • -conflict of interest declarations;
  • -data availability information;
  • -permissions for third-party material; and
  • -supplementary files.

Preparing these materials in advance facilitates a smooth submission process.

2. Manuscript Language

Manuscripts submitted to Datamine Publishing and Consulting Centre should be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. High-quality language enhances readability, facilitates peer review, and ensures that research findings are communicated accurately to an international audience.

Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to seek language editing before submission where necessary.

The publisher expects manuscripts to demonstrate:

  • -clarity of expression;
  • -logical organisation;
  • -scientific precision;
  • -consistency in terminology;
  • -correct grammar;
  • -appropriate punctuation;
